Life size prints of the cross section of various cut trees by Bryan Nash Gill. Brings new meaning to the genre of Wood Cut printing doesn’t it? I can imagine how awesome a good sized tree print would look on the wall – to me the wood rings are totally hypnotic. The prints are also reminiscent of topography, metereology and thumbprint studies, all wonderful things in my book. And I love the difference between the different species too. Totally beautiful.

I am presuming the trees were already (sustainably) chopped down, otherwise it’d be a completely daft idea. Keep your eyes peeled for a chopped stump near you and get your printing gear on people!
