Check out Tom Deininger. I just stumbled across him and loooove his junk assemblages and sculptures. Ultra clever.
It seems to me that art takes on a whole new level of commentary when it is made out of what we would otherwise throw away. It says so much for the quality of what we discard or don’t use, that someone can see or create beauty in it. Although creating a beautiful soft rabbit out of discarded cigarette butts may be a bridge too far for me? Strangely unsettling.
