Last week a couple of us headed down to Te Papa to the Public Climate Change consultation to see how these things go down and to give our support for 40% by 2020 reductions target.
We had no idea what to expect really but when Minister Nick opened things up for discussion one by one people joined the growing queue to say their bit. I sat there wishing I had the guts for public speaking but around 40-50 brave peeps got up and added their voice to the cause.
They were inspiring – there are so many awesome people in Wellington already taking steps to reduce their impact on this planet while the government go around talking about it…
